"I began working with Tia to address my diastasis recti/pelvic floor. Within the first couple appointments, I was given the confidence and assurance that my core and pelvic floor were doing well. We then addressed my knees and toes because everything in our bodies is connected. I’ve had issues with my knees and big toes from dance injuries many years ago and have been to multiple other PTs for them. I’d pretty much given up hope that those issues would ever resolve, but Tia never gave up. "I was experiencing some pelvic floor dysfunction for a few years after having my 2 children. It was very frustrating. I did strength training, running, and yoga, and nothing seemed to help, it was something I just lived with. When deciding to train for a marathon and going to a new gym with lots of jumping, I decided that I had enough and needed some guidance on how to fix the problem. Tia was AMAZING in helping me, the little tweaks we made to exercises that I was already doing made all the difference plus added on some others to help. I was able to notice when my pelvic floor was disengaging and how to re-engage it. We also discussed my running cadence and how to before more efficient while running. I can now jump rope with both feet for over a minute, do jumping jacks with confidence, and able to realize when I'm not engaged when I need to be. I'd highly recommend physical therapy to anyone.
